A bridge is an artificial tooth supported by the teeth on either side of the space. Our dentists Dr David Edwards or Dr Rand Razaq shapes the teeth on either side of the gap, and takes a mould which is then sent to our dental technician. Our dentists will make a temporary bridge for you to wear to protect the exposed teeth and gums while your bridge is being made.
Our dental technician makes the complete structure, using porcelain (for appearance) and a metal core (for strength). We then remove the temporary covers and check the fit and bite then cement the bridge onto the teeth. Your bridge will exactly match your natural tooth colour.
